Get yourself in the mood with Beef Lok Lak!

 Ingredients:

Beef Lok Lak is one of the most popular dishes in Cambodia and is available in almost every restaurant in the cities. If you fancy having a go at making this delcious dish before heading off on your Cambodia trip then just follow this recipe:

1/2 kilo of lean beef
1 pc. lemon
1 tbsp. ground pepper
4 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. oyster sauce
1/4 cup of light soy sauce
1 clove garlic

Preparation method: 

1. Marinate the beef with soy sauce, lemon, pepper, and oyster sauce for at least 30 mins.

2. Heat the pan and pour a little oil. Saute the garlic till golden brown.

3. Put the meat and stir fry for 5-8 minutes. Pour in the left over marinade.

4. Let the gravy thicken for a while and then turn off the heat.

Serve on top of layered lettuce, tomatoes, thinly sliced onion, and cucumber and enjoy!
