Route: Bangkok - Phnom Penh - Kompong Cham - Sihanoukville - Phnom Penh - Siem Reap - Bangkok
Cambodia is often combined with neighbouring countries Thailand and Vietnam, but that's not strictly necessary if you ask us. With this comprehensive Cambodia itinerary you'll experience the real, untouched Cambodia but we've also made sure you won't miss out on the country's well-known highlights. After a relaxed start in Bangkok you'll travel to the capital city Phnom Penh with its many mopeds, bikes and street vendors. Accompanied by a guide you'll learn about the haunting history of Cambodia during a visit to the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Museum. From Phnom Penh you'll travel to a traditional Khmer village where you'll spend a couple of days living with the locals and taking part in their daily life and rituals. Then it's time to chill out on the beaches of Kep and Sihanoukville where the beaches are quiet and less touristy. The grand finale of your trip is a visit to the Wonder of the World, Angkor Wat. Here you can wander among the ancient ruins and temples while your guide brings everything back to life with his many stories. Click here for the daily itinerary. |
