Cambodia tours - independent Cambodia travel

Modules: short Cambodia tours

Create your own unique Cambodia tours using our Cambodia travel 'modules', you can even combine them with travel through countries such as Vietnam, Thailand or Laos. Modules are short bite-sized travel experiences lasting 2 to 8 days. Want some help choosing the best combination of modules, then have a look at our Cambodia suggested itineraries. These are modules that have been linked together to form a longer and more comprehensive itinerary, and sometimes include travel to neighbouring countries.

During your Cambodia tours, you'll travel independently, but every now and then you may join a small group for an activity or excursion.

As Cambodia's highlights can be seen in around 10 days, most of our Cambodia tours are combined with travel to the Thailand, Vietnam or Laos. Flights to Bangkok in Thailand, and sometimes Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam are sometimes cheaper than flying into Phnom Penh or Siem Reap. Therefore it can be cost effective to use one of these airports to start your Cambodia tours, it's also easy to cross the border into Cambodia from these countries. For this reason, as well as modules that start from Cambodia, we also offer modules that beginning in both Bangkok in Thailand or Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

To create your own Cambodia tours, simply choose the modules that catch your eye, and add them to the quote request form. We will then work on this with you to create your ideal Cambodia trip, including your main transfers. Alternatively, you can always contact one of our Cambodia specialists by email at info@cambodiatravelplan.co.uk or call us on 01273 322 042.

The price quoted excludes international flights, although we can arrange these for you. Prices are valid till 30th September 2010, but supplements can apply over Christmas and the high season.

Cambodia tours starting in Cambodia

Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Angkor Wat, beaches and countryside

Most of our Cambodia tours start from Cambodia's capital Phnom Penh. Known as the "Pearl of Asia", Phnom Penh sits at the confluence of the Tonlé Sap, Mekong, and Bassac rivers and is well know for it's Khmer and French influenced architecture. Spend a few days acclimatising and exploring it's sights such as Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum and the Killing Fields, and learning about it's bloody past at the hands of the Khmer Rouge in the 1970s.

From here, it's only half a day travels to the wonderful town of Siem Reap, the base for visiting the mystical Angkor Wat. It's easy to see why Angkor Wat was one of the ancient wonders of the world, it's scale is truly breathtaking, and it will not fail to disappoint.

We offer easy trips out to the beaches at Sihanoukville and Kep, the more remote parts of Cambodia like Kratie, Stueng Teng and Banlung, as well as to Cambodia's second largest city Battambang.
