Cambodia holiday - Cambodia Travel Plan

How does Cambodia Travel Plan work ?

Cambodia Travel Plan puts you in charge of your Cambodia holiday. You can build your own itinerary using a combination of modules (short travel programmes). We’ve travelled through Cambodia and constructed our modules from some of the most special places we visited. Pick and mix the modules that appeal to you most, from hill tribe stays to quiet beach getaways. Sail down the Mekong to Thailand or Vietnam, Cambodia has something for everyone. For your accommodation we've chosen as many small-scale hotels and family guesthouses as possible, as we feel their ambience compliments the areas in which you're staying.

Once you've picked your modules we'll string it all together by arranging your local transport in Cambodia and send you a Travel Plan.

If you've never been to Cambodia before, or would prefer to see how much it's possible to fit into a Cambodia holiday, then take a look at our suggested itineraries. Here, we’ve combined a number of modules in a logical order to create longer and more complete itineraries. However, it's still possible to modify these itineraries, for example a day extra here or there etc. Once again, you're in charge.

Cambodia

Most Cambodia holidays will probably incorporate Thailand or Vietnam as well, and many travellers start with an Easy Going Bangkok or Easy Going Ho Chi Minh City starter packs. Flights to these destinations are often more affordable and involve less lay-overs. The starter packs include an airport transfer and accommodation for the first two nights, you can then choose from a large selection of travel modules that start in Thailand or in Vietnam as you make your way to Cambodia. Siem Reap and Phnom Penh are two major Cambodian cities you won't want to miss. Visits to these cities are featured in the 'Passage through Cambodia - from Bangkok travel module. From Bangkok, embark on an adventurous train trip to the Cambodian border. From Siem Reap, visit the Angkor temples and discover the other side of Siem Reap by bicycle. You'll also see Phnom Penh and learn more about the history of the Killing Fields.

The exotic Mekong Delta is a natural border between Vietnam and Cambodia. Small boats will take you past floating markets from Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh during the travel module Cambodia boat trip. Afterwards you can choose from the Passage through Cambodia - from Ho Chi Minh City or Angkor modules to see the highlights of this authentic country. Continue your Cambodia trip with a trip to the beach with the module Cambodia beach getaway, visit the Cambodian hill tribes and totem poles in the pristine north-eastern part of the country on your way to Laos, or choose for the Ko Chang waterfall island module for some rest and relaxation.

In Cambodia, you'll travel mostly by public transport. We’ll arrange all the major, intercity transfers between the modules. Usually, we'll recommend bus, trains or even flights as these are the most efficient ways to get around.
